Overall : I have already read the Japanese version up to vol. 18 (current
latest a/o when i'm writing this, 12.11), and will say that this series definitely gets better and becomes a more gripping story as it
continues to unfold.

Overall : I am a huge NANA fan. The movie itself is lovely, however, on my copy there aren't any English subtitles available. If you don't know the story ahead of time, it will be very frustrating.
If you MUST have subtitles, I would wait for another option.
