About this series
Onizuka is an ex-biker and gang leader who has one goal, to become the greatest teacher. He learns of the power and respect possible as an intern teacher, using his strength and connections to get his students to respect him. Now, graduated, he gets a job at a prestigious private school to handle their 'problem class' that made the past few teachers quit. He must handle a different sort of trouble when the trouble makers include some of the smartest kids in Japan who preffer a more cerebral approach to torturing their teacher. Onizuka must slowly win his students over and deal with their mistrust of teachers while handling the distrust of his fellow teachers.

Outcast from her small group of friends, Tomoko Nomura was always teased as being 'slow.' But without a friend in the world her self confidence is definately falling fast! Then, an obsessive teacher gets Onizuka in trouble when the local education advocacy group sees Onizuka teaching a class in an elephant costume. Now he's got to get the highest national score on the Junior exam to keep his job! It might sound easy for most teachers, but then again Onizuka isn't like most teachers! Can his students help him out or will this be the end of our Great Teacher?

Overall : I bought this because it was on sale and am so glad I did. I love it. It is an adult manga so be careful when reading it for the first time if you have problems with some things.

Overall : A very unique series that has very realistic themes throughout. Not the greatest animation, but the storyline makes up for that. A very hilarious but touching anime at times.

Overall : GTO is my favorite series, the storyline is wonderful. Each character has it owns trials and tribulations, and Onizuka brings everything together. The way that onizuka dealt with his class was very well done. This is a MUST SEE series.
